TENACIOUS by Francisco D. Coll

Freedom to live life is what brings me great affluence. When I build from the pivot point of inner freedom I will be in the right place, at the right time, doing the right thing. This is the energy of my first loyalty; this is the energy of my true feelings. With it, I will have all the incentive I need to fulfill my aspirations and accomplish what I have come to do. Incentive is the fuel for great expansion and growth. Without it I can waste time. With it I work with the whole of my potential. I need to be alert to things that take away my incentive.

There are two kinds of incentive, Inner and Outer. Inner incentive is "moving my desire". It is based on the spiritual. Outer incentive is "moving by necessity". It is based on the material. The troubles begin when I start relying only on outer incentive to move me forward. When I make a habit of moving based solely on the outer I become weak and dependent. I become addicted to pressure and begin paying a high price for something I already have. By balancing my two worlds I allow myself both accomplishment and fulfillment. That is incentive.

Having the Facts is what determines whether I am building dependence or independence. The Facts are 5 W's. The first 4 W's are the What, the When, the Where and the Why. They are my basics. The 5th W is the "Who", or in other words, "who is getting something out of it". It helps me discern what's in it for me, or what I'm getting out of it. In order for me to truly feel accomplishment I need the 4 W's. In order for me to truly experience the fulfillment I need to know the 5th W. Everyone can contribute to the Facts but it is my responsibility to know what I am getting out of it. Other people can help me with the opportunity, but I am the only one with that responsibility. That is independence and those are the facts.

Patience is my ally. Patience with myself and my opportunities. Patience with people and things around me. When I am patient, all things will be added unto me. I am resolute by my patience. I am free because of it. When I lose my patience, I will start forcing the energy. I may even become fearful, angry or frustrated. It can feel as if I am bailing water while trying to paddle up stream. I can get there but it will be hard work. The bigger picture is that I am here practicing. Everyone is practicing. All I need to do is remember that everything is going to be all right, becuase the anxieties in life come when I forget it; I know that in the Big Picture I will get there, and so will everyone, but patience does not mean that I am without direction or purpose. As a matter of fact, patience pays off when I have clear direction and purpose. I know what I need and want, and I have the patience to achieve it.

My tenaciousness comes from clearly seeing the facts and the incentive of what's in it for me, how I am helping myself and benefiting from the opportunity. My tenaciousness comes from knowing what I need and want, and knowing that it is already mine. My tenaciousness comes from understanding that I am already a success -- all I need to do is hold firm to doing better with what I have for greater success. I am tenacious and patient. I am tenacious and free. I am tenacious because I know what's in it for me!
